Guess what I’m having for supper! My boyfriend hates chili so he will have to suck it up while i slurp it up!
Summer is coming and the weather is getting nicer. What is one of the most Canadian ways to cool off in the summer? With a Timmy Ho’s Ice Capp. You can make them to your liking with the flavour you want at home with minor adjustments. The icing sugar makes the drink frothy. I just discovered President’s Choice Caramel Latte Mix that you can just add ice too as well but it isn’t the best without adding a little extra flavour. The PC mix is cheap and found at probably any Superstore across the country.
Ingredients
- ice
- instant coffee or cold coffee
- icing sugar
- milk or cream
- Optional: any other drink flavouring like chocolate syrup, hot chocolate, latte mix, mocha mix, etc.
Directions: Mix to your tasting and enjoy.
I love the song Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson and FINALLY I tried making them. They turned out amazing. They are so good you almost don’t need syrup!

- Enjoy!
Unless you live in Canada (or in one of the north-eastern states) you will have no idea how hard it is to obtain a chocolate danish from the most reliable Canadian franchise.
Excuse me while I die from an acute case of extreme contentment.

The Bulk Barn is a great place to get all your baking needs! Here in Saskatchewan they rent out cake pans for $1.50/day in many different shapes. They have pre-made fondant, coloured chocolate wafers and TONS of other cake making supplies including plastic pillars, sprinkles and decorations. If I ever get married, this place inspires me to try and create my own cake that will look great too. On purchases over $10 they give you a tasty looking reuseable bag with a bulk candy print.
Home Sense has cake platters, cupcake stands and plenty of other do-hickies that will help you create and display your masterpieces.
Happy Baking!!
Once upon a time I hated chicken alfredo. I would not eat it not matter the recipe or circumstance. I absolutely love this recipe, although I do no follow one and use canned sauce. Here’s how I made it.
- Marinade 3 chicken breasts for a night with fresh squeezed lemon juice, ground black pepper, red onion pieces and some oil.
- I poured the onions and chicken mixture into a frying pan to cook.
- After breaking off the hard ends of the asparagus i washed and cut them into smaller pieces on a diagonal cut.
- Cook the asparagus on med-high heat with a few tsps olive oil, a minced clove of garlic and some lemon juice until the asparagus was the perfect softness. I am not a professional, I test by taste.
- Combine the chicken and asparagus in the bigger pan and add 2 cans of Alfredo sauce with some more ground pepper. I used red pepper and sun dried tomato Alfredo sauce in a can.
- Start pasta while sauce simmers on low.
- Once pasta is to your liking, Top with sauce and enjoy!
I have tried variations of this recipe by changing the type of Alfredo sauce I use and adding different veggies like red peppers and mushrooms. Also, they have now came out with different types of pasta like black pepper, and, lemon pepper linguine.
ENJOY! :D
This is a cake my sis and I made for our older sister’s birthday.
The cupcake mix was 25 cents per box. A lot cheaper than buying all the materials to make cupcakes from scratch! It is iced with whipped cream cheese icing and decorated with jelly hearts found around Valentines day!
I am so making these for easter instead of dying eggs or buying candy!
Quick Easter Cake Pop Recipe:
Make a cake mix and crumble. Mix the crumbled cake with a can of icing. Work it into a ball then shape into an egg (on a stick is optional but makes dipping easier. Heat fondue chocolate or dipping chocolate in a glass bowl above boiling water and dip eggs in. Then decorate however you please. I will post back how mine turned out and look! :)
